New Delhi: Hosts Dabang Delhi on Saturday notched up a thrilling 33-31 win over defending champions Bengaluru Bulls in the first match of the Delhi leg of the Pro Kabaddi League Season 7 at the Thyagaraj Sports Complex here.Naveen Kumar was the star for the Delhi side who trailed for most parts of the match but inflicted a crucial All-Out in the final minutes on the Bulls to walk away with all the points.Bengaluru Bulls started the match on the front foot, racing to a 5-0 lead, with Pawan Sehrawat flying high. The Bulls piled on the pressure, backed by their defence, to inflict the first All-Out of the match on Dabang Delhi in the 11th minute and open a gap of six points. The defending champions continued to dominate with their defence, manned by Mahender Singh and Saurabh Nandal, thwarting all the raiders who came in their territory. The first half ended 19-11 in favour of the Bengaluru Bulls. The league’s top raider, Pawan Sehrawat started the second half with the same intensity, rushing to his Super 10 (10 raid points) within six minutes of resumption as the Bulls maintained their pressure on Delhi. The home team brought in Meraj Sheykh to add an extra dimension to their raids and the Iranian picked up bonus points to keep Debang Delhi in the game as the match edged closer to the final whistle.Three points by Naveen Kumar in two successive raids with five minutes remaining in the match helped him reach a Super 10 and make it a one-point game. The aggressive strategy saw Delhi force an All-Out on Bulls with 3 minutes remaining to take the lead. But Pawan Sehwarat’s two-point raid tied the match once again with just a minute remaining.Delhi then pulled off an important tackle in the final minute to win the first match of their home leg.Bengaluru will only have themselves to blame for allowing Delhi to clinch so many bonus points and finishing off the game when they were on top.The result saw Delhi move to second spot in the table.last_img read more

Week 11 Fantasy Rankings: Kicker

first_imgMichael Badgley and Harrison Butker are starting fantasy kickers each week no matter where or who they’re playing against. But in Week 11, both get a boost that almost convinced me to slide them ahead of Justin Tucker in the Week 11 fantasy kicker rankings. The Chargers and Chiefs face off at Estadio Azteca in Mexico City, where the elevation is 7,280 feet above sea level (2,000 more feet than at Mile High in Denver). Picture those long kicks that have been made in Denver through the years, and then add an extra boost to those. When you pair good kickers in what should be an offensive showdown with the potential to kick from even longer than usual, that’s super appealing. If Tucker had a tougher matchup than a home game against Houston, I may have slid him out of the top spot. In reality, those three guys should all be started in every league, and you definitely aren’t choosing between multiple kickers, so it’s more just a fun thought exercise if that much elevation can elevate someone above Tucker. (See what I did there?) WEEK 11 NON-PPR RANKINGS:Quarterback | Running back | Wide receiver | Tight end | D/STA usual member of the top three, Greg Zuerlein, is down a bit this week due to a matchup with the Bears, but that’s not enough to consider sitting/dropping him in fantasy. Joey Slye (vs. Falcons), Wil Lutz (@ Buccaneers), and Daniel Carlson (vs. Bengals) all have matchups that should lead to plenty of points for their teams, whether that’s with field goals or extra points is less certain.WEEK 11 PPR RANKINGS: Running back | Wide receiver | Tight endFurther down the rankings, Stephen Hauschka could be a good play in Miami. Matt Gay should get plenty of opportunities to kick against the Saints in what promises to be a shootout. And Josh Lambo gets to kick indoors against a so-so Indianapolis defense.WEEK 11 DFS LINEUPS:Y! cash | Y! GPP | DK cash | DK GPP | FD cash | FD GPPIf there’s one normally high-ranking kicker we’d feel comfortable avoiding/dropping this week, it’s Philadelphia’s Jake Elliott. The Patriots’ defense has been proven to be mortal, but that doesn’t mean the Eagles won’t have some trouble moving the ball. Maybe stalled drives could mean more kicks for Elliott, but not if they stall too early or end in turnovers.MORE WEEK 11 DFS: Values | Stacks | Lineup BuilderThe kickers that have returned from bye this week that are worth glancing at your league’s free agents to see if they were dropped are (in order of preference) Ka’imi Fairbairn, Josh Lambo and Brandon McManus. The kickers with Week 11 byes are Mason Crosby, Jason Myers, Aldrick Rosas and Ryan Succop.Note: We’ll update throughout the week with roster moves and reaction to expected weather, so check back later in the week.
