first_imgPICK of the round… massive tie… classic contest! The hyperbole surrounding the Tetley’s Challenge Cup Fourth Round tie at Huddersfield is set to be fully justified when the two sides meet on Sunday. And Paul Wellens is expecting a tough, physical match where Saints will have to be at their very best to progress.“I’m looking forward to the match,” he said. “It is the pick of the round and the toughest too. They are a great side and proved that by winning the League Leaders Shield last season.“We know what they are about and the strengths they have and we will have to play well to advance to the next round.“They have had an inconsistent start but I don’t think that is a reflection on them as a group. I think what they are is a very strong side and they have showed that a lot over the last 12-18 months.“They have strength in the squad and we are mindful of that. In preparing for the game we are getting ready to come up against a formidable outfit.“Right across the board they are a strong side. They are strong up front and have pace in the flanks. Simply, we need to be very close to our best to get through.”Saints failed to beat Huddersfield last season and therefore the tie was probably the most daunting they could have been handed.“If every team is honest in the fourth round of the cup you’d like an easier game but once the draw is made you get on with it,” Wellens continued. “It is a fantastic tie and as a professional Rugby League player these are the types of games you want to be involved in and the ones you look back on.“If you go over there and perform well it is something you will remember for a long time.“But we have no second chances and no second opportunities if it goes wrong.“We are confident and with being seven from seven there’s no reason to suggest we wouldn’t be. But we don’t want to get over confident and we are working hard each week to improve. We are taking nothing for granted.”Tickets remain on sale for the match from the Ticket Office at Langtree Park, by calling 01744 455 05201744 455 052 or by logging on here.CallSend SMSAdd to Skype You’ll need Skype CreditFree via Skypelast_img
